Simulate compound interest, tax and inflation
Project contributions and compare gross wealth, net proceeds and purchasing power. The simulator separates contributions, income tax, IOF and fees, with private history for registered accounts.
Step by step
- Enter initial capital, contributions, frequency, start date and term in months.
- Choose CDI, Selic, historical Ibovespa or a custom gross rate. Review source dates for automatic references.
- Choose tax treatment and maturity per deposit. Adjust inflation and fees.
- Explore growth, comparison, annual tables, scenarios and redemptions. Sign in to save and restore up to 50 scenarios.
Calculation method
Effective rates use compound conversion. Income accrues on an actual/365 calendar-day basis. Each contribution has its own cost basis and tax holding period. At maturity, net proceeds are reinvested and the holding period restarts. Final withdrawal includes tax. Purchasing power discounts inflation to the start date.
Assumptions and limitations
Future rates are constant assumptions, not guarantees. Ibovespa is historical, not a security. Equity tax treatment covers Brazilian equity ETFs, not individual stocks, funds or day trading. LCI/LCA without price indexation require six months: deposits with less time available stay in cash. Issuer-specific conditions and future legislation are not forecast.
Common questions
Do all deposits pay the same tax over a one-year simulation?
No. Each deposit has a different date. Taxable fixed-income deposits held for 365 days pay 17.5% on income, while newer deposits can pay 20% or 22.5%, plus IOF when applicable.
What happens at an early maturity?
The model redeems the lot, deducts tax and reinvests net proceeds, restarting the holding period. LCI/LCA proceeds stay in cash when fewer than six months remain.
Is an account required to simulate?
No. An account is needed to save, restore or delete your private simulation history.
